DAIMON
DAIMON, 2007
network installation, wood objects, cables, computer/audio technology, dimensions variable
software: Peter Chiochetti

DAIMON translates information processes into movement and sound. When bots or demons of Internet search engines visit the server of the installation, the objects begin to vibrate and emit low-frequency sounds. By visualising and materialising the search, control and navigation routines, we become aware of the everyday processes of automated systems in many ways, reminiscent of animism and fetishism.
