The sculptures forming CANDY LAMP are hybrids of futuristic houseplants and lamp objects, in which floating algae circulate. The illuminants inside the glass bodies enable photosynthesis and make the cells grow that colour the nutrient solution with their chlorophyll. The title, CANDY LAMP, refers to the experimental processing of the accumulating biomass into sugar (glucose).
