The audio play THE PROMETHEUS PROTOCOLS tells a story that oscillates between science fiction and horror, utopia and dystopia. The narrative leads into the depths of a new materialism in which the human body and its tissues are subjected to radical sustainability. The cannibalism of the future will not emerge from amorality or dark evil but from the principle of autotrophic resource utilization. Autophagy is no longer metonymous with the savage, the uncivilized and the pre-modern but the ethical imperative for a posthuman world and reflects the desire to achieve a paradisiacal state of self-containment. THE PROMETHEUS PROTOCOLS refers to the ancient tradition of hepatoscopy. The organ, once considered the seat of life, becomes the starting point to read the sustainability of humanity in the context of a cellular economy.
